Lucy || Senior Portraits in Shenandoah Valley, Virginia

I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! — When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.
— Pride & Prejudice | Jane Austen

Lucy! So excited to share these. We worked for a long time to find a day that worked for everyone for this shoot. Lucy's mom, Dana, was my go-to bank lady for quite a few years, and my brother's before that.. Sloan also knew her from the same bank and had done hair and makeup for Lucy for homecoming and prom. We met for hair & makeup at the old pre-civil war house on my family's land (where I had taken photos of Jesse last year!) We quickly learned some of Lucy's interests include cosmetology, reading, and Stitch, from Lilo & Stitch. Of course the book they brought for pictures was Pride & Prejudice, which is one of my biggest inspirations for my photography. We had such a lovely time, Lucy is ridiculously sweet, and she was an absolute natural in front of the camera! Sloan & I wish her the absolute best on her last year of high school before she delves into the world of cosmetology!
