2017 Year in Review

Song : December by the Tow'rs

This year was mind-blowing, incredible, exhausting, and overwhelming. I had over 60 photo shoots and weddings in 2017, and was organized well enough to finally know that count.

The year started out with being voted the Best of Photography for the Shenandoah Region in Virginia Living Magazine. One of my images from 2016 also won Best of Wedding Photography in an international contest hosted by Rangefinder Magazine.

I won People’s Choice and First Place in a local Young Entrepreneur Program, and set up a very tiny shop in the Hawksbill Trading Company here in Luray. A full-page article was even written about me in our local newspaper.

I traveled to Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio to photograph weddings and hiked 16,000 foot mountains in Peru for a week-long engagement session.

Johnny joined White Sails! We added a drone into the mix and have started with a little videography on the side. We traveled to Iceland, Germany, and Italy for our honeymoon.

We met some incredible local vendors here in Luray. We got to work with Venues, Florists, Hair Stylists, and more, and I couldn’t be happier with the community built in less than a year.

I am absolutely pumped for 2018 and cannot wait to continue sharing and growing with you all! Thank you for the kindness and support and caring that I see so often.
